Bike Safe with Dyfed-Powys Police

Dyfed Powys Police are pleased to report that there has been a steady decrease in the number of fatal collisions involving motorcycles over the past three years.

Rider deaths in 2003 were 17
Rider deaths in 2004 were 13
Rider deaths in 2005 were 10

The Force remains fully supportive of the Bikesafe initiative, with over 60 riders participating in the events during 2005. They are again offering two day observed weekend events throughout 2006 at both Police HQ in Carmarthen and Llandrindod Wells.

Officers will also be in attendance at the Welsh motorcycle show in Builth Wells during May and The West Wales motorcycle show in Carmarthen during August.
